Live Fish on Arrival Guarantee
We take great care to ensure all fish are healthy and securely packaged for transit. For this reason, we offer a Live Fish on Arrival Guarantee.
In the unlikely event that you receive a Dead on Arrival (DOA) fish, please contact us immediately.
To process a claim, we require video or photographic evidence of the fish in the unopened bag. Once received and verified, we will either:
-
Issue a full refund for the affected fish, or
-
Add replacement fish to your next order.
While such cases are rare, please note that once fish leave our care, external factors can occasionally affect their condition.
We cannot accept responsibility for any losses once the fish have been placed into your own tank. We strongly recommend conducting appropriate research before purchasing to ensure your tank conditions are suitable.
Please note that, due to courier costs, delivery charges are non-refundable.
Acclimating Fish to Your Tank
Fish may experience mild stress during transport. It is important to introduce them to your aquarium promptly and carefully upon arrival.
We recommend using the “Drop and Plop” method:
-
Turn off your tank lights.
-
Float the unopened bag(s) in the tank for 20–30 minutes to equalize the temperature.
-
In one motion, open the bag and empty its contents into a net over a bucket. Then, gently place the fish into the tank.
⚠️ Important: Never add bag water to your aquarium.
Once the bag is opened, exposure to fresh air causes a chemical reaction that reactivates ammonia in the water, which can result in ammonia burns. Therefore, it is crucial to remove the fish from the bag water immediately after opening
